Who We Are
Hine Smart Homes is owned and operated by John-robin (J.R.) and Susan Hine.
After settling in the Comox Valley in 2017, they decided to start their own business in 2020. Susan's background is in project management, interior design, sales, and administration. When she's not working, she loves being with people, anywhere and everywhere! She has quite a repertoire of fine meals that she enjoys making for guests. J.R.'s skills come from building computers, networks, and AV systems since the early 2000s. He also regularly spends time staying current with the latest technologies and training programs available to professional smart home integrators from CEDIA and product manufacturers. When he's not working, he's often wrenching on a vehicle and sometimes out hiking.
They live in W Courtenay with their whippet, Ladybug, who is quite a princess! Together, they make up the team that is Hine Smart Homes.
