Who We Are
Hine Smart Homes is owned and operated by John-robin (J.R.) and Susan.
After settling in the Comox Valley in 2017, they decided to start their own business in 2020. Among Susan's many talents are project management, interior design, sales, and administration. When she's not working, she loves being with people, anywhere and everywhere, but especially at Comox Lake! She enjoys making meals for friends and has quite a repertoire of yummy dishes. JR's skills come from building computers, networks, and AV systems since the early 2000s. A self-professed technology nerd, he regularly spends time staying current with the latest technologies and training programs available to professional smart home integrators from CEDIA and product manufacturers. When he's not working, he's often wrenching on a vehicle and sometimes out hiking.
They live in West Courtenay with their whippet, who is quite a princess! Together, they make up the team that is Hine Smart Homes.
